2 new cases of COVID-19 reported in Albania, bringing the total to 35

Two people were diagnosed with COVID-19, on Saturday morning, bringing the total number of identified cases to 36.

The first was a man  60 years old, who has been treated for 2 weeks for other illness at a public hospital in Tirana. He was tested after he started showing symptoms of possible coronavirus infection.

He was transported to the infectious hospital in critical condition.

The other case is an employee of the same hospital, who is thought to have been infected by contact with infected patients. His occupation and age were not immediately known.

He is in good condition and has isolated himself at home.

The daily update by the Public Health Institute is expected at 11:00 am, and many a significant increase in the number of people diagnosed with COVID-19 during the last 24 hours.
