Albania has decided to close all its land borders for people travel, from midnight on Sunday. No person will be able to travel by car between Albania and Montenegro, Kosovo, Northern Macedonia, and Greece. Borders will remain open for the transportation of goods.
The decision was announced by PM Rama in a Facebook post, on Saturday afternoon.
On Friday, Albania closed its maritime borders to people travel, while the transportation of goods remains unaffected.
Albania has also banned all air travel with Greece and Italy. Flights to other countries continue normally .
