Necessary equipment and medication to fight COVID-19 have cost the Albanian government €25 million so far.
The figure was made public by Minister of Health Ogerta Manastirliu on May 27 during a television appearance. She added that the bill is constantly being updated as there is a constant need for medication and PPE shipments. She also noted that the government had received the support of the EU and other partners in the fight against coronavirus.
The European Union has donated €4 million to aid to the healthcare sector in fighting coronavirus, whereas the US government donated $900,000.
