70 Coronavirus Cases Found in Albania, 6 in the Last 24 Hours

Six more coronavirus infected cases have been found in the last 24 hours, bringing the country’s total number of infected people to 70.

Deputy Minister of Health Mira Rakacolli announced that one of the newly found cases is the mother of an infected patient tested previously, who was urgently rushed to Tirana from Patos, Fier.

Tests have been conducted on 732 people in total, 70 in the last 24 hours. Meanwhile, the government has limited testing only to people over 65, the chronically ill, and those who have had contact with infected patients.

The maps of the infected covers cities of Tirana (50), Durrës (5, including one victim), Fier (7), Lushnje (2, including one victim), Elbasan (2), Rrogozhina (2), Kavaja (2).

35 patients are hospitalized in Tirana, three of them are in intensive care and the rest are in stable condition.

So far, all of those infected had either been in contact with other infected people or had recently traveled to Italy.
