State Police have arrested one person and declared another wanted for cybercrime in Albania. The latest arrests come after nine previous arrests five months ago.
An operation conducted by the police and the Cyber Crime Section found that suspects had been accessing other people’s Facebook accounts, changing their passwords and using them to communicate with their friends lists. Once communication had been established, they were asking for money while pretending to be the owner of the account.
Those involved had acquired a sum of around EUR 38,000.
