Albania is participating in the “Anatolian 21” military exercise hosted by Turkish Special Forces in Ankara, Anadolu Agency reported.
Albania, Azerbaijan, Qatar, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Turkey and Uzbekistan have been exercising since June 28, with Kosovo and Mongolia also observing the exercise.
It aims at developing cooperation and coordination between special forces of participant countries, the sharing of information and experience, and developing skills for joint operations.
In the past two months, Albania was one of the main grounds for the major “Defender Europe 21” military exercise led by the United States. The exercise involved 26 countries and NATO, and 28,000 multinational forces.
