Following the agreement between Prime Minister Edi Rama and PD Leader Lulzim Basha, the events that are expected to take place are:
- The proposal of the new ministers, the Central Election Committee (KQZ) Chair and the Deputy Prime Minister from the opposition.
The Assembly will convene for a plenary session where it will be decided:
- Removal and appointment of new ministers;
- Completing the Vetting Commissions with the opposition members;
- Amendments to the Criminal Code such as the making the sale of vote into a corruption offense;
- Fair coverage of the media campaign;
- Strengthening the legal framework for political parties financing.
President Nishani will set the new election date on 25 June.
The parties will be immediately registered at the KQZ
By 26 May, parties will submit multi-name lists with deputies.
The KQZ will verify candidates for opposition deputies.
