Kosovo PM Fires Deputy Who Supported No-Confidence Motion against Government

Outgoing Prime Minister Albin Kurti has dismissed his deputy Avdullah Hoti shortly after the parliament voted his government down on Wednesday evening.

Kurti’s Movement for Self-Determination (LVV) and the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) governed the country for 52 days, before the parliament ousted the government today after a no-confidence vote brought by coalition partner LDK.

Deputy Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti, who is part of the LDK, also voted against his government.
