Albania Coronavirus: 104 Infected and Four Dead

Albanian authorities have reported 15 more coronavirus cases found in the last 24 hours, which brings the country’s total to 104.

Two people infected with coronavirus have died in the last 24 hours, bringing the toll to four. A fifth person that was announced dead was brought back to life but his situation remains extremely serious.

Tests have been conducted on 856 people in total, 45 in the last 24 hours.

Five people were confirmed recovered and discharged. They were put under quarantine at home for two weeks.

49 patients are hospitalized, three of them are in intensive care. The rest of the infected are under quarantine at home.

The maps of the infected covers cities of Tirana (68), Durrës (7, including one victim), Fier (12, including one victim), Lushnje (2, including one victim), Elbasan (2), Rrogozhina (2), Kavaja (3, including one victim), Korca (3), Vlora (4), Shkodra (1).

The government has limited testing only to people over 65, the chronically ill, and those who have had contact with infected patients.

So far, all of those infected had either been in contact with other infected people or had recently traveled to Italy.
