45 new cases of COVID-19 have been found in Albania during the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic to 2580.
A 74-year old from Shkodra and a 82-year old from Tirana succumbed to the virus bringing the total number of victims to 65.
The new cases were found in Tirana (21), Shkodra (10), Elbasan (4), Delvina (3), Kurbin (3), Kruja (1), Kukës (1), Lezha (1), and Saranda (1).
The infected include people who have had contact with previously diagnosed cases, but also new ones into whom epidemiological investigations continue.
1516 people have recovered.
Over 25,000 people have been tested since March.
There are currently 71 patients hospitalized with the virus, 10 are in intensive care, two are intubated.
999 cases are still active in the country in Tirana (370), Durrës (212), Shkodra (156), Vlora (109), Fier (49), Elbasan (13), Korça (28), Lezha (43), Kukës (18), Gjirokastra (7), Berat (6), and Dibër (6).
