Albania Coronavirus Update 15 July: 100 Deaths, 2091 Recovered, 85 New Cases, 1560 Active Cases, 3752 Total Cases

85 new cases of COVID-19 have been found in Albania during the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic to 3752.

A 21-year old and a 49-year old from Kruja, as well as a 56-year old and a 67-year old from Tirana, succumbed to the virus bringing the total number of victims to 100.

The new cases were found in Tirana (44), Shkodra (6), Kruja (6), Vlora (6), Durrës (5), Elbasan (4), Pogradec (4), Kukës (3), Fier (2), Lezha (2), Kavaja (2), Kamza (2), Dibra (2), Kurbin (1), Korça (1), Devoll (1), Has (1), Lushnja (1), Mat (1), Përmet (1), Saranda (1), Bulqiza (1), and Prrenjas (1).

The infected include people who have had contact with previously diagnosed cases, but also new ones into whom epidemiological investigations continue.

2091 people have recovered.

Around 33,000 people have been tested since March.

There are currently 88 patients hospitalized with the virus, 12 are in intensive care, four are intubated in aggravated condition.

1560 cases are still active in the country mainly in Tirana (672), Durrës (219), Shkodër (190), and Vlora (97).
