69 new cases of COVID-19 have been found in Albania during the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic to 1590.
This is the highest number of cases found in a day since the first case in March.
The new cases were found in Tirana (28), Shkodra (16), Kruja (8), Vlora (6), Durrës (5), Elbasan (2), Puka (1), Mallakastra (1), and Lushnja (1).
The infected include people who have had contact with previously diagnosed cases, but also new ones into whom epidemiological investigations continue.
70 percent of those infected, or 1055 people have recovered.
There are currently 50 patients hospitalized with the virus, 7 are in intensive care, one is intubated.
499 cases are still active in the country in Tirana (249), Shkodra (68), Kruja (63), Kamëz (27), Durrës (25), Puka (11), Vlora (21), Lushnja (13), Korça (1), Librazhd (1), Mallakastra (1), Tropoja (2), Mat (2), Lezha (3), Ura Vajgurore (1), Berat (1), Elbasan (6), Gjirokastra (1).
