Albania Coronavirus Update 17 July: 107 Deaths, 2214 Recovered, 55 New Cases, 1585 Active Cases, 3906 Total Cases

55 new cases of COVID-19 have been found in Albania during the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic to 3906.

A 52-year old from Tirana, a 57-year old from Kukës, and a 59-year old from Korça, succumbed to the virus bringing the total number of victims to 107.

The new cases were found in Tirana (39), Vlora (4), Kukës (3), Durrës (2), Kavaja (2), Kruja (2), Shkodra (1), Elbasan (1), and Kamza (1).

The infected include people who have had contact with previously diagnosed cases, but also new ones into whom epidemiological investigations continue.

2214 people have recovered.

Around 34,000 people have been tested since March.

There are currently 106 patients hospitalized with the virus, 9 are in intensive care, one is intubated in aggravated condition.

1585 cases are still active in the country mainly in Tirana (737), Durrës (206), Shkodra (187), and Vlora (105).
