119 new cases of COVID-19 have been found in Albania during the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic to 4290.
In the past 24 hours, an 80-year old and a 67-year old from Tirana, an 80-year old from Vlora, and an 75-year old from Malesia e Madhe, succumbed to the virus bringing the total number of victims to 117.
The new cases were found in Tirana (69), Kavaja (8), Kruja (7), Tepelena (7), Lezha (5), Durrës (4), Elbasan (3), Pogradec (3), Shkodra (2), Fier (2), Korça (2), Has (2), Lushnja (2), Mallakastra (1), Kamza (1), and Malësi e Madhe (1).
The infected include people who have had contact with previously diagnosed cases, but also new ones into whom epidemiological investigations continue.
2397 people have recovered.
Around 34,000 people have been tested since March.
There are currently 125 patients hospitalized with the virus, 20 are in intensive care, four are intubated in aggravated condition.
1776 cases are still active in the country mainly in Tirana (893), Durrës (201), Shkodra (201), and Vlora (100).
