There have been 14 confirmed cases of COVID-19 identified in Albania over the last 24 hours.
In the Ministry of Health’s daily press conference, they said that the 14 new cases bring the total to 750. A total of 267 tests were carried out on those suspected of having contracted the virus. Seven of the confirmed cases were in Tirana, five in Kruja and two in Shkodra.
So far, 7758 tests have been conducted and 750 were positive.
The Ministry said that the average age of those with the virus is 46.8 years old.
The number of those who have lost their lives to the virus has reached 30, with two passing away in the last day. Nine patients have recovered, bringing the overall total to 431.
There are currently 289 active cases of COVID-19 in Albania.
In the Tirana Infectious Diseases Hospital, there are 27 inpatients, three of which are in intensive care. In Shefqet Ndroqi, five are hospitalised and two are in intensive care in a serious condition.
