A total of 67 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Albania, during the last 24 hours.
Mirela Cami from the Ministry of Health said that there are new hospitalisations and that two more people have lost their lives- a 67-year-old and a 73-year-old. Both suffered from concomitant medical issues.
The Ministry has encouraged businesses to allow staff to work from home where possible, to minimize contact between staff. They also called on people to exercise caution, to use the mask everywhere indoors when in public, and to keep distance.
A total of 88 patients are being treated, eight of which are in intensive care. One is currently intubated.
During the last 24 hours, 376 tests were performed and 67 cases confirmed. The new cases are distributed as follows: Tirana 43, Shkodra 9, Kavaja 6, Elbasan 4, Kurbin 3, Korca 2, Kukes 2, Kruja 2, and 1 case in Fier, Lezhe, Lushnje and Kamza.
There have been 45 recoveries in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of 1637.
There are currently 1108 active cases, mainly in Tirana, Shkodra and Durres.
