Two more patients infected with Covid-19 died on Saturday, bringing the death toll in Albania to 20. The victims are two women, 84 and 80, who both had several other diseases – rheumatoid arthritis, atrial fibrillation, hypertension, and heart, hypertension and diabetes respectively.
28 more people have been diagnosed with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, among them a child, with the total number of infected cases reaching 361.
An 80-year-old patient was cured and left the hospital.
149 people were tested in the last 24 hours. 2396 people have been tested so far, with 361 confirmed cases.
104 infected patients were cured, while 20 have died. 71 people are hospitalized, 7 of which are under intensive care, while one is intubated.
The rest remain in home in self-isolation.
The geographical distribution of cases is as follows: Tirana (174), Durrës (36), Lushnja (5), Elbasan (10), Fier (25), Kavaja (8), Rrogozhina (4), Korça (16), Vlora (5), Shkodra (38), Lezha (14), Berat (1), Has (9), Kruja (5), Tropoja (4), Puka (4), Mirdita (3).
All patients who have recovered and have left the hospital will remain isolated in their homes for 14 days.
The government has limited testing only to people over 65, the chronically ill, and those who have had contact with infected patients.
