6 people infected with Covid-19 have died in Albania in the last 24 hours. A 53-year old from Tirana, a 61-year old from Tirana, a 62-year old from Durrës, a 76-year old from Tirana, a 77-year old from Pogradec, and a 87-year old from Shkodra succumbed to the virus, bringing the total number of victims to 199.
136 new cases have been found, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic to 6411, the Ministry of Health reported.
The new cases were found in Tirana (66), Kruja (13), Shkodra (11), Patos (8), Vlora (7), Kavaja (6), Kucova (4), Fier (4), Berat (2), Librazhd (2), Kamza (2), Gjirokastra (2), Saranda (2), Durrës (1), Mirdita (1), Mat (1), Roskovec (1), Malësi e Madhe (1), Peqin (1), and Gramsh (1).
74 people have recovered, bringing the total to 3342.
2814 cases are still active in the country, about half of them in Tirana.
Over 45,000 people have been tested since March, including serological (antibody) tests.
There are currently 112 patients hospitalized with the virus, 18 are in intensive care, 3 are intubated in aggravated condition.
