Sixteen people infected with COVID-19 have died in the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 2,018. The victims’ age varies between 50 and 90.
There were 681 new cases today, while total cases have amounted to 116,123.
Those recovered in the last 24 hours are 872 people; 79,131 since the beginning of the pandemic.
The number of vaccine doses administered so far is 23,635 of which 942 doses today.
There are currently 506 patients hospitalized with the virus, of which 30 in intensive care, and 10 intubated in aggravated condition.
35,974 cases remain active in the country: Tirana (23,432), Fier (2,524), Vlorë (1,615), Durrës (1,647), Shkodër (1,314), Gjirokaster (1,226), Korçë (878), Elbasan (604), Lezhë (691), Berat (382), Dibër (342), and Kukës (319).
