Albania COVID-19 Update 5 March: 21 Deaths, 780 Infections, 757 Recoveries

Twenty one people infected with COVID-19 have died in the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 1,897. The victims’ age varies between 44 and 90.

There were 780 new cases today, while total cases have amounted to 111,301.

Those recovered in the last 24 hours are 757 people; 73,610 since the beginning of the pandemic.

The number of vaccine doses administered so far is 18,247, of which 1440 doses today.

There are currently 638 patients hospitalized with the virus, of which 37 in intensive care, and 9 intubated in aggravated condition.

35,794 cases remain active in the country: Tirana (23,361), Fier (2,602), Vlorë (1,804), Durrës (1,623), Shkodër (1,360), Gjirokaster (1,164), Korçë (897), Elbasan (847), Lezhë (775), Berat (679), Dibër (355), and Kukës (327).
