Albania will receive 50,000 Sputnik V vaccine doses within 10 days, Prime Minister Edi Rama announced on Monday.
The government has reached another deal, he said, but failed to reveal where the vaccines are coming from.
Albania has so far administered vaccines from Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Sputnik V and Sinovac. The supply of the former two brands has ended. It has received nearly 300,000 doses in total.
Priority groups vaccinated so far include the medical staff, those over 65, teachers, police officers, field journalists.
The government aims at vaccinating 500,000 people by May, while 200,000 have been vaccinated so far.
