Thousands of shoppers flocked to malls and shopping centres in Tirana yesterday to take advantage of Black Friday discounts- an American phenomenon whereby huge discounts are available post-Thanksgiving and before Christmas.
Despite the fact Albania is in the midst of the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, long lines of again hunters congregated outside shops without respecting social distancing measures.
Many went to the shops hours before they even opened, to make sure they were the first to get their hands on deals.
