Damages from the November 26 earthquake amount to €958 million, according to the Albanian government’s final report.
Minister of Agriculture Bledi Çuçi announced the report results today in a joint press conference with the EU Ambassador Luigi Soreca.
“50,000 buildings were checked in a record time, which make up 80% of the total earthquake-damaged buildings. 100% of high risk damaged buildings were identified […] Experts have estimated damages and losses in the amount of €985,074,906,” Çuçi said.
This report will also be presented at the Donors’ Conference on 17 February in Brussels.
