Albanian Government Announce Longer Hours for Movement During Week but Full Weekend Lockdown

The Albanian government has announced that while curfew is lifted between 5am-5:30pm Monday-Friday, lockdown will stretch from Friday at 5:30pm until Monday at 5am.

The latest order to control the spread of the Coronavirus means that residents who wish to leave their homes Monday-Friday must still apply for permission. Once permission is received, they will have 90 minutes during which they can go to the shops and pharmacy. Only one family member per household is permitted to leave on any given day.

Previously, pedestrian movement was allowed Monday-Saturday, 5am-1pm with permission. Now, while the hours and time allowed has been extended, people in Albania will no longer be able to go out on Saturday
