Five Albanian parties in Montenegro will run in August 30 parliamentary elections under the same coalition.
On Tuesday, the leaders of the Albanian Alternative, New Democratic Force, Albanian Democratic League, Tuz Union and Civic Movement Perspective signed an agreement to run in elections with a joint candidate list.
One of the signatories stated that the goal is to maximize the vote of Albanians in the upcoming elections.
About 5 percent of the over 600 thousand population of Montenegro are of Albanian ethnicity. They are represented by one MPs in the 81-seat parliament, Genci Nimanbegu. Last elections were held in 2016.
