Albanian Police Make Two Arrests for Illegally Transporting Third Country Nationals

Albanian police have apprehended two individuals for illegally transporting third-country nationals through the country.

As a part of operation “Perimeter”, authorities in Korce apprehended a 23-year-old resident of Korce near Pogradec. He was found to be transporting five illegal immigrants who he had promised transport to an EU country in return for money.

A second individual, a 27-year-old from Tirana was arrested, also in Pogradec for transporting one immigrant who he had also promised transit to.

The Albanian police have been making arrests in similar cases on almost a daily basis this summer.
