Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama denied that high-rise buildings would be constructed on the land near the recently demolished National Theater.
Rama made the claim after the owner of Fusha shpk confirmed that the company will go ahead with its project to build residential towers in the vicinity of the National Theater area.
“There will be no towers there,” Rama insisted, “How can I make it clear? I have said this 100 times! Within, outside, behind the entire perimeter there will be no towers!”
While the Prime Minister repeatedly, and loudly, asserted “there would be no towers,” he declined to answer when asked what would happen to the now vacant land.
