Alko Impex Also Competing in Kamza Tender with Falsified Documents

The company Alko Impex Construction filed falsified documents for the Kamza municipality tender concerning the cleaning of the city. The company, owned by the nephew of Socialist MP Sadri Abazi, as reported earlier, has been awarded millions of euros in Tirana municipality tenders.

According to Exit sources, Alko Impex Construction’s entry in the Kamza municipality tender is accompanied by the same fake diploma for one of its engineers and inaccurate list of its employees we reported on here.

The company’s financial bid is 1,350 million lekë (approximately €9.6 million), the second lowest bid up until now. The project’s funding limit is approximately €10 million.

The municipality, headed by mayor Xhelal Mziu, decided to tender out waste management and cleaning in a 12-year-long concession. The tender was opened in the beginning of March and closes today, April 16.

According to the concession, the winning company will be responsible for cleanup, collection, transportation, and sorting through waste for the Kamza municipality, as well as the construction of a landfill where the waste will be collected.

The Kamza municipality will pay the company back throughout a period of 12 years from the moment the contract is signed. while the financial guarantee a concessionary company must deposit before entering the competition is approximately €200,000.
