Prime Minister Edi Rama showed Balkan leaders the destruction left in the wake of the earthquake in Durres.
President of Serbia Alexandar Vucic, Prime Minister of North Macedonia Zoran Zaev, and President Milo Dukanovic were in Albania to attend the third meeting of the “Mini Schengen” initiative.
They promised to support the Albanian government in its earthquake relief efforts.
Vucic stated that Serbia will be one of the top donators to Albanian quake victims, and that his government will decide on the amount on Monday.
Zaev said the four countries have agreed on the necessity to have a document that would guarantee a common response to natural disasters in the region.
The Mini Schengen initiative and President Vucic’s presence in Albanian was met with protests.
