PD leader Lulzim Basha declared today that his first act in government would be to cancel the Higher Education Law. During a meeting with a local PD youth branch in Tirana, Basha laid out his plans for education:
- Cancellation of the Higher Education Law;
- Full financing for public universities;
- A more efficient way of competing for university positions;
- Coverage for a one-year internship for 10,000 students per year.
In order to realize these policies, Basha emphasized the necessity of bringing down the current government at the polls in June. Referring to the protests planned by the PD on February 18, the leader of the PD suggested that this would be the beginning of movement ending with a victory for every Albanian.
