CEC Certifies Three Vetevendosje Candidates for April 25 Elections

The Central Election Commission (KQZ) certified three independent candidates running in the April 25 elections, supported by the Vetëvendosje Movement  (LVV) in Albania.

“Vetëvendosje Movement” in Albania announced through a post on Facebook, that three candidates, supported by the Movement, were certified by the CEC.

The candidates are Boiken Abazi running in Tirana district, Iljaz Shehu in Lezha district, and Kreshnik Merxhani in Gjirokastra district.

Representatives of VV in Albania told Exit that the three candidates were supported by thousands of citizens from all three regions while collecting signatures on the certification process. 

“They combine the principles and collective values of the Movement’s activists, the social and national ideal and the effort for development and justice, with intellectual and professional preparation and the will to engage for the good of the country,” reads the announcement of Vetëvendosje Center in Tirana.
