A 60-year-old man undergoing Covid-19 treatment at the Shefqet Ndroqi Hospital has committed suicide in early morning hours on Monday.
The man threw himself from the second floor of the hospital, where he was being treated for two days, authorities said.
Police are questioning the staff and patients, and investigations are ongoing.
This is the fifth suicide in Albania’s Covid-19 hospitals since August.
The hospital management says it has increased the number of psychologists and security it the building.
