During a work visit to Albania, Dutch Minister of Foreign Affairs Bert Koenders asked the majority and the opposition to start as soon as possible a dialogue to solve the political crisis. During a press conference together with Minister of Foreign Affairs Ditmir Bushati, Minister Koenders stated:
It is important to have political dialogue, it is important to have free and fair elections, and its is important to make progress in the field of vetting.
Minister Koenders expressed his support for the judicial reform and called upon the Albanian institutions to start its implementation as soon as possible.
Responding to a question from the press whether Albania will take any measures concerning illegal immigration through the Rotterdam harbor, Minister Bushati stated that he was not meeting with the UK Foreign Secretary.
Minister Bushati perhaps didn’t understanding that in order to arrive in the UK, Albanian asylum seekers also need to leave somewhere.
