Dutch Parliament will Discuss Albanian Progress Report in November

The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Albania has stated that they will send an “appreciation of this package to the parliament in the coming weeks.”

Following this, a debate will be held in line with Dutch parliamentary procedures. Also, the General Affairs Council will meet in November to discuss the enlargement package.

In an official statement received by Exit, the embassy said:

“As agreed with the parliament, the Dutch government is committed to regularly update the parliament on the topic of EU-enlargement. Yesterday’s discussions in parliament were a part of this commitment.”

Their comments clarified that recent discussions in the Dutch parliament, did not concern the EU report but that it will be discussed in the future.

They added that a letter sent by Minister Stef Blok on 4th September regarding the draft for negotiation frameworks for Albania and North Macedonia was also discussed in their Parliament.
