Opposition Democratic Party leader Lulzim Basha has implied that he doesn’t fully agree with the draft agreement on electoral reform announced by the US Ambassador Yuri Kim tonight.
In a brief press statement, Basha said that there is one more issue to be agreed.
“Progress has been made towards agreement on the administration of elections. One issue remains unresolved. I want to assure the Albanians that the united opposition will do everything to guarantee a free and fair vote,” Basha replied to Ambassador Kim’s announcement after the 9-hour-long meeting of the Political Council.
Tonight, Kim urged Basha to accept the deal reached by the council. “The ball is in his court, the future is in his hands,” Kim said.
