The European Union has pledged up to €50 million in aid to Albania for fighting the coronavirus outbreak.
EU ambassador to Albania Luigi Soreca made the announcement today, few hours after another good news for Albanians: the political agreement of member states to open accession talks with Albania and North Macedonia.
The aid will include €4 million for immediate medical equipment, €11 million for social protections, and up to €35 million for economic recovery.
