Hematology doctor Ardian Pushi succumbed to COVID-19 on June 30.
He is the first medical professional to fall victim to coronavirus.
Pushi was 56 years old and was being treated under intensive care for several days.
The doctor was serving in the blood diseases department in the QSUT hospital when he contracted the virus.
Pushi had also worked as a professor, teaching many generations of medical students.
