Global Coronavirus Infections Surpasses One Million

The confirmed number of Coronavirus cases worldwide has surpassed one million. 

The number of people that have recovered from the virus is 213,126 and there have been 50,236 deaths. 712,262 are in a mild condition and some 37,000 are in a critical or serious condition.

The USA has the most cases in the world with 245,341- almost a quarter of the world’s cases- and so far over 6000 people have died. 

Italy and Spain have 115,242 cases and 112,065 cases respectively. Italy has the most deaths in the world with almost 14,000, followed by Spain and the USA.

In the UK, a record 569 people died in the last 24 hours and the total of infected people rose to over 33,000. The amount of those with the disease has tripled in just seven days.
