The International Monetary Fund (IMF) predicts an economic growth in Albania for 2017 of 3.7%
In the World Economic Outlook of April 2016, the IMF predictions didn’t change from those of last year.
For 2018–2022, the IMF predicts an economic growth of 4.4%. The IMF’s outlook is more optimistic than that of the European Commission or the World Bank. Both institutions predict a growth over 2017–2018 of 3.5%
Meanwhile, the predictions of Rama’s government are even higher than those of the IMF. For 2017, the government predict a growth of 3.8%, and 4.5% in 2018.
