The Court of Tirana passed a verdict today in the case of the energy company OShEE (former CEZ) against former CEO of the company DIA, Kastriot Ismailaj.
The court ordered Ismailaj to pay €9 million to the OShEE for the damage caused by his fraud with contracts to collect debts from OShEE clients, as well as legal costs incurred by the OShEE during the arbitration process in Vienna.
In 2015, DIA had sued the OShEE at the International Court of Arbitration. DIA had sought a compensation of €135 million for the illegal cancellation of its contract with the OShEE for collecting debts from OShEE clients. The International Court of Arbitration rejected the case.
