Kadri Veseli has been reelected Speaker of the Parliament of Kosovo. His election comes after the Behgjet Pacolli decided to abandon his pre-electoral coalition and join the winning coalition led by Ramush Haradinaj. This allowed for a majority of 62 votes in favor of Veseli’s candidacy.
The parliamentary session of today picks up from the one held on August 3, when no Speaker was chosen due to insufficient votes. Now that Veseli has been reelected, a new coalition government led by Ramush Haradinaj is expected to be installed in the coming days.
