DokuFest 2020 kicked off last night, offering some 90 films that can all be streamed online.
The international documentary and short film festival started in 2002 and is usually held in the Kosovo city of Prizren during August. Over the last 18 years, it has grown into a significant cultural event which attracts a range of international and regional participants. A number of films are screened throughout the festival which takes place between 7-25 August.
The event usually attracts more than 18,000.
This year’s schedule includes 90 films across eight categories that will compete for various prizes. In addition to this, the curated programme includes films in categories such as View from the World, Music on Film, Shadowplay: Film on Film, EFA Shorts, Future is Here, and DokuKids.
Films can be watched against a small fee, payable online. There are also eight films that are available to watch free of charge.
