The Kosovo government allocated €22 million in emergency aid on Monday as part of its €180 million coronavirus fiscal assistance package.
€170 were allocated to 80,199 persons, about €14 million in total, to cover monthly salaries of employees of companies that are in financial distress as a result of the coronavirus. 53,279 more employees will be allocated the same amount on Tuesday.
27, 572 families in need were allocated €130 each, about €8 million in total.
Additional aid from the same packages will be provided throughout the week for employees of grocery stores, bakeries and drugstores (€100), those who have lost their job (€130), as well as financial benefits for companies that have hired during this period.
