Kosovo Opposition Party Offers Government to Cooperate on Dialogue with Serbia

Opposition Alliance for the Future of Kosovo leader Ramush Haradinaj has offered to cooperate with the ruling Vetevendosje on the dialogue with Serbia.

“The Alliance meets all its obligations in Parliament in all kind of situations, it is open to talk regarding the interests of Kosovo,” Haradinaj told news agency KosovaPress when asked to comment on Prime Minister Albin Kurti’s plan to discuss with opposition parties before meeting Serbia’s President Aleksandar Vucic in Brussels in June.

During his visit in Brussels, Kurti stated on Sunday that the government needs more information in order to have a principled dialogue on the dialogue process on normalization of relations with Serbia.

He added that he plans to meet with the opposition and get their input.

The first meeting between the leaders of Kosovo and Serbia is planned for June. It will mark the resuming of the dialogue on normalization of relations between two countries after a long hiatus.

Before the meeting, Western Balkans leaders will attend a dinner in mid-May, hosted by the top EU diplomat, Josep Borrell in Brussels.
