Kosovo Records 888 New COVID-19 Cases, as Numbers Continue to Climb

Yesterday, the Ministry of Health of Kosovo announced they had recorded 888 new COVID-19 cases after conducting 6,068 tests. There was only one COVID-related death.

This was 330 more cases than the numbers recorded on Tuesday and 500 more than Monday.

Over the past two weeks, Kosovo have seen a drastic spike in the number of COVID-19 cases, with most infections coming from the Delta Variant.

There are currently 3,489 active cases in Kosovo.

174,991 people have been fully vaccinated and a total of 521,737 vaccine doses have been administered to date.

Kosovo has made vaccination mandatory for everyone wishing to participate in indoor activities and events, starting August 20th. Vaccination is also mandatory for those working in the hospitality and tourism industry.
