Kosovo has reported 17 deaths related to COVID-19 today, marking the highest daily death toll since early May. Two of the victims were between 20 and 29 years old, the ministry of health announced.
The country has seen a sharp rise in new cases and deaths in the last week due to the spread of the delta variant of the virus. The same age group leads the list of new infections.
Of the 7,946 people tested in the last 24 hours, 1,067 resulted positive.
The number of active cases in the country is 20,467.
