Kosovo reported eighth deaths related to Covid-19 on Saturday, the highest ever single-day spike since the pandemic began. The death toll stands at 66.
The Ministry of Health announced six deaths until Saturday 5pm, and two more patients reportedly died in later hours. They all had underlying conditions.
July 4 also marked the highest number of new cases in Kosovo, 178.
The total number of cases reached 3,356, of which 1,416 are active cases.
Kosovo was among countries with the most rapid spread of Covid-19 in Europe from 12 to 26 June.
