Kosovo Will Not Have Population-Wide Coronavirus Testing in 2020

The Kosovo government will not be conducting massive population-wide coronavirus testing during 2020.

No matter the population’s infection levels, the government plans on purchasing no more than 100 thousand coronavirus tests. That would only be enough to test 5% of Kosovo’s population, assuming no citizen gets tested more than once.

According to the government’s coronavirus testing action plan, acquired by KOHA, 120 thousand more tests will be purchased for the following year. The estimated cost will be €4.4 million.
