Kosovo’s Prime Minister Requests the Resignation of State’s Intelligence Chief

The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Avdullah Hoti requested the resignation of the head of Kosovo Intelligence Agency (KIA) Kreshnik Gashi, on Thursday.

The decision was made in coordination with the office of the Acting President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani.

None of these institutions, which appoint and dismiss the head of Intelligence, provided further details about this request.

Gashi was appointed as the head of Kosovo Intelligence Agency on November 25 of last year, by Kosovo’s former Prime Minister, Ramush Haradinaj.

Previously, Kreshnik Gashi served as Chairman of the Board of the Regulatory Authority for Electronic and Postal Communications of Kosovo.
