As we have pointed out already frequently, the pace of the vetting and its lack of progress, even for “priority” magistrates, is in part the result of the Rama government’s lack of proper funding for the justice reform, which now also threatens to affect the budgets of the new justice governance institutions.
It also shows in the quality of the work of the Independent Qualification Commission (KPK), which in recent weeks published two verdicts with the same protocol number. On July 25, the KPK took Decision no. 51 to confirm Ardian Dvorani as High Court judge, while July 30, the KPK took another Decision no. 51, to dismiss Tirana judge Bledar Abdullai.
At the moment that the vetting institutions cannot keep count of their own verdicts, wouldn’t it be time to add some support staff?
